About Elora Indran (+ Her Best Work)
A little context about the author writing these slice-of-life stories and why she does it.
Hello, I’m Elora. I used to go by Sara, before I got baptised.
I’m from Singapore. I write a lot for my full-time job, but it’s always business-related stuff like press releases, social media posts and newsletters.
Now as much as I like writing, I got bored of writing with a business objective hovering in the back of my mind all the time.
So I took to writing slice-of-life stories on Medium (and the occasional writing tips too, because I like dissecting what makes people better writers.)
My main philosophy with is that nothing is too boring to be written about. It’s all about the angle.
So forgive me, but you’ll find fully fleshed-out articles about eating a bagel, learning about what’s trending on TikTok, or reminiscing about the kind of notebooks I used to write in.
It sounds utterly boring, I know. But like I said in my bio, I find whimsical stories in the most ordinary things.
Have a read. You might be surprised.
